Short version: the only thing we ask for is your email address, we use it to send you the book chapter and occasional notes about the books, and you can get rid of us with one click. We never sell your data.
Who is behind this site
Livsundberg.com is operated by Simplehouse ("we", "us"), CVR 46074491, Denmark. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
"Liv Sundberg" is a pen name used for the book series The Lighter Parent. Any request about your personal data should be sent by email to kontakt@simplehouse.dk.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you sign up for the free chapter. That is the only field the form asks for.
- Basic engagement data generated by our email provider: whether an email was delivered, opened, or clicked, and the approximate time.
- Page visit data, recorded by our email provider's script when you load this site. See "Tracking on this site" below.
We do not ask for your name, your address, or anything about your children.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
We use your email address to send you the free chapter you asked for, and occasional emails about the books. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, given when you submit the signup form. You may withdraw that consent at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect anything we sent before you did.
Who we share it with
Our newsletter runs on Kit (formerly ConvertKit), operated by Kit.com, Inc. in the United States. Kit stores your email address and sends our emails on our behalf, acting as our data processor under a data processing agreement.
Because Kit is based in the United States, your email address is transferred outside the EU/EEA. That transfer relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where we are legally required to.
Tracking on this site
The signup form loads a script from Kit. That script records a page visit so Kit can report how many people saw the form, and it may set a cookie or similar identifier in your browser. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other third-party tracking.
You can block this with any standard content blocker, or by disabling JavaScript. The rest of the page works fine without it - only the signup form stops working.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe. When you unsubscribe, Kit retains a record that the address opted out, so that we do not accidentally email you again. If you would rather be deleted entirely, ask us and we will remove the record.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- object to or restrict our processing;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
The fastest way to exercise most of these is the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email we send. For anything else, email kontakt@simplehouse.dk and we will respond within 30 days.
If you think we are handling your data badly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, at datatilsynet.dk.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything meaningful here, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change affects how we use your email address, we will tell you by email first.
